Our seasoned Verdese olives come from the finest organic olives on the estate on the hills of Ragusa, hand-pitted and marinated in our extra virgin oil with fresh garlic, wild oregano from the Iblean lands and Calabrian chilli. The slow marination lets the flesh absorb the aromatics without losing its characteristic crunch, creating a balance of savouriness, gentle heat and herbaceous oregano notes. On the palate they are meaty and aromatic, with a slightly spicy finish that invites the next bite. Perfect as a ready-to-eat starter, to enrich pastas and salads, or as the centrepiece of a Sicilian cured meat and cheese board. A convenience product that preserves the authenticity of homemade preparation, impossible to find in mass retail.
